At Vök Baths the whole family can enjoy their stay together. Relaxation and enjoyment are synchronized to fulfil your wellness.
While you can relax and enjoy what Vök Baths has to offer, you can also get in touch with the beautiful nature that surrounds us. Taking a swim in Urriðavatn lake around the floating infinity pools is both refreshing and fun.
Iceland is famous for its geothermal activity. However, East Iceland is normally not associated with geothermal heat and considered a cold spot. This makes Vök Baths an even more unique attraction. Throughout the centuries, people living around Lake Urriðavatn noticed certain spots on the lake that curiously did not freeze during winter. The Icelandic name given to these ice-free patches is “Vök” (plural Vakir).
The warm water flowing from the ground at Urriðavatn lake is so pure that it is the only geothermal water in Iceland certified as drinkable. You can taste the water and refresh your body at our complimentary tea bar.
